Gents’ bicycle ARE Tehased, 1939

Made in ARE Metal Factory in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1939. Frame No 1466.

The bicycle has NSU freewheel hub and 28" wheels intended for tyres with beaded edge, black frame has decoration typical to ARE products, consisting in green and yellow parallel stripes, and the rims and mudguards have wide black stripe, sided by narrow yellow stripes.

The bicycle was ruined and corroded, front label was damaged, wheels replaced and various minor details missing. The bicycle underwent thorough restoration in 2010.
